Rental is a great deal on this book.

This was a very expensive book new, and the used price was almost as bad. By renting it, I was able to get a decent used copy for a decent price that has not be highlighted or written in. The only thing that is wrong with the book is that the spine has a gouge in it on the lower part, but I am still able to use the book with no problem. The book itself is for a class I am taking, and once this class is over, I will be very glad to be able to return the book because it is very dry, and the writing style is complicated, though I suppose that research methods and the statistics that go along with that are difficult subjects to write about. I can't imagine wanting to keep this book after the class is done, so I am really really glad that Amazon is now doing text book rentals!

A Must

This book was required for my graduate research methods course. I didn't love it so much until I began writing my thesis and I needed help with setting up my study and working through the statistics of my results. I seriously have no idea what I would have done without this book. I am sure I would have found the information elsewhere, but it was so helpful to have it all in one place. It is extremely user-friendly. In fact, my husband has been using it as a reference for his dissertation. I highly recommend it!

Very complete book for those who want to learn how to carry out good research. It's not an easy reading; it has lots of concepts and you may need further knowledge on probability.
