About the Author
ANTHONY B. CAREY, M.A., C.S.C.S., C.E.S., is the biomechanical consultant for Jazzercise International and is a continuing education provider for the American Council on Exercise, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He has successfully employed the exercise regimes described in this book for more than a decade through his company, Function First.

Excellent Reference !!

Not a Complete Program + Stop Trying to Upsell Me

As titled, this is not a complete program and serves as an incomplete introduction through which Anthony Carey can sell his services.

Look at the following paragraph:

"There is also a 'pecking order,' if you will, when one observes postural alignment problems. Certain issues must be addressed before others because they have a greater overall disruption to normal movement patterns. What this means is that you may have to do the exercises for one Form for a few weeks and then move on to another Form, based on your combined alignment findings. You can find additional photo samples of the Forms at [...]

Benign enough. Until you realize that he never explains this pecking order. The author identifies 6 core forms of alignment dysfunction, and most people will identify with multiple forms. If there's a "best" order, wouldn't that be good to explain to your readers?

And I want you to go to the website and try to find the additional photo samples. Hint: you're going to be directed through at least 5 sales gates before finding the link... in plain text... at the very bottom of the page. And what you will find is 8 unlabeled unexplained photos.

If you can figure everything out on your own, here's a list of everything prescribed in your pain-free program:
-4-5 stretches

That's it. There's an included "graduate" program that is a series of non-specific bodyweight exercises even though the author says that the value of his book is that it is specific to each specific alignment dysfunction.

This book is purposefully incomplete in order to sell further services. It's paying $10 for an advertisement.

Amazing!!!

I have had horrible, progressively debilitating low back pain for 1.5 years. I have spent thousands of dollars on massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, and so on, all of which helped for short periods of time. I tried physical therapy, but it did not help for very long. I stretched and strengthened on my own every day, but it did not help for long. I bought this book and began doing the exercises. I felt an immediate change and relief after doing the exercises just once. I have been doing the exercises faithfully every day for 2.5 weeks now, and I am no longer taking pain medication. If my back flares up a little, I just do the exercises, and I get immediate relief and don't have to take pain medication at all. I also have found that eating a low-inflammatory diet and taking Omega 3 supplements every day help with inflammation immensely, but those didn't help with the actual structural problem that was the underlying cause of my low back pain. The exercises in this book are addressing the structural problems. I am so thankful that this book was written. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has chronic pain. The exercises seem to strengthen and stretch in all the exact right places in the exact right sequence. I can feel my back getting stronger and balanced the way it should be.
