About the Author
Norman J. Hyne, Ph.D., is a certified petroleum geologist and Professor of Petroleum Geology in Continuing Engineering and Science Education at The University of Tulsa, USA. He has taught short courses on petroleum exploration, drilling, and production to more than 35,000 students on six continents. Previous to teaching short courses, he was chairman of the Geology and Geophysics Department. He has authored or edited nine books and numerous scientific papers. Dr. Hyne is a fellow in the Geological Society of America, an honorary member of the Tulsa Geological Society, an emeritus member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He received his degrees in geology from Pomona College, Florida State University, and the University of Southern California. He is a fellow of The Explorers Club of New York.

This is the best E&P Dictionary you will ever get !

This book is full of clear and complete definitions of most of the terminology used in the Oil business. It also have lots of illustrations. It is very hard not to find what you are looking for. Excellent for people that intiates in the Oil business.

Quality resource

Very useful resource. Purchased for use during the Petroleum PE exam and I used it to answer at least two questions for which I had no clue what the question was talking about before looking up the terms in this dictionary. Kind of pricey, but a quality book with a vast amount of information.
